Your brief is yours. This policy is the full, plain account of what we collect, why, and how we protect it. The short version lives on our Trust page.
1. Who we are
jugnu (jugnu.world) is a product of V2 Build Private Limited, an Indian company with its registered office at A-102, Great Eastern Gardens, LBS Marg, Kanjurmarg West, Mumbai 400078, Maharashtra. We are the data fiduciary for the personal data described here.
2. What we collect
- •Your contact details: the email and mobile number you give to see your ideas, and your name if you choose to add it.
- •Your brief: brand name, category, target consumer, your challenge, what you have tried, any brand you name as inspiration, website and competitor links, and any documents you upload along with the text we read from them.
- •The ideas jugnu generates for you.
- •Your ratings and any feedback you write.
- •Basic usage data: coarse location (country, region, city) derived from your connection, and product analytics about how the app is used. We do not store your IP address.
- •Payment: handled entirely by Razorpay. We never see or store your full card, UPI, or bank details.
3. How we use it
- •To run the pipeline and generate your ideas.
- •To show your ideas on screen and email them to you.
- •To improve jugnu. Only your ratings and written feedback are read for this, by our feedback agent, whose job is your experience.
- •To prevent abuse, for example the limit on free runs per email or mobile.
- •To meet our legal and tax obligations.
4. What we never do
- •We never train any AI model on your brief, your documents, or your ideas. The AI models jugnu uses do not train on what passes through them either.
- •We never show your brief or ideas to another user.
- •Your brief never enters the Kosh, our inspiration library.
- •We never sell your personal data.
5. How long we keep it
Your uploaded documents, the text we read from them, and your typed brief are deleted within 7 days, or the same minute you press “Delete my brief now” on your results screen. We keep a simple record of each run for longer, your contact details, brand name, category, geography, which inspirations and lenses jugnu used, your ratings, and the ideas we generated, so you have a history and so we can improve the product. The ideas are already in your inbox.
6. Who processes your data for us
We use a small set of trusted service providers, each handling only what they need to, and none of them train on your data:
- •Supabase, our database and storage.
- •Vercel, which hosts and serves the app, and measures how fast it loads for you.
- •Anthropic, whose Claude models generate the ideas.
- •Tavily, which runs the live web searches that ground the ideas in real facts.
- •Groq, which transcribes voice input if you use the microphone.
- •Resend, which sends your results email.
- •PostHog, for product analytics.
- •LinkedIn, whose advertising tag runs on our landing page only, never on the app.
- •Razorpay, our RBI-regulated payment processor.
7. Where your data is stored
Your run data is stored on Supabase in the Asia Pacific (Sydney) region. Some of our processors, such as the AI and hosting providers above, operate from outside India, including the United States, so your data may be processed there under their own safeguards.
8. Your rights
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, you can:
- •Ask what personal data we hold about you.
- •Ask us to correct or complete it.
- •Ask us to delete it.
- •Withdraw consent you have given.
- •Raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer.
To exercise any of these, email feedback@jugnu.world. We will respond within the timelines the law requires.
9. Cookies and analytics
We use PostHog to understand how the app is used so we can improve it. We keep this minimal.
Our landing page carries LinkedIn’s advertising tag. It sets a LinkedIn cookie and tells LinkedIn that a browser visited the page, which is how we tell whether our ads reach people who find jugnu useful. It is on the landing page only. It is not on the app, so nothing you type into jugnu, no brief, no run, and no idea, ever reaches LinkedIn. You can turn off LinkedIn’s advertising cookies in your LinkedIn account settings.
10. Children
jugnu is for people aged 18 and over. It is not intended for children.
11. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your data. Payments are handled by Razorpay, which is regulated by the Reserve Bank of India. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your brief with the care we would want for our own.
12. Grievance Officer
In line with Indian law, you can reach our Grievance Officer, Vikram Garga, at vikram@jugnu.world. We will acknowledge and address grievances within 30 days.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the “last updated” date above.
14. Contact
